Things I Thought I Actually Knew

I mentioned a while back about a few of the things I thought I knew but which it turned out I didn’t (if that makes sense). I therefore decided to do an experiment to see if there are more things which I don’t know about. We know how this is going to turn out, don’t we?

What on earth could tankless water heaters be all about? I have always been pretty sure that the tank was a pretty basic part of any water heating system. Hmm, could it be that the water is warmed up magically by the tap (that’s faucet for US readers by the way)? I had a look at a diagram of the system and I think I am wrong but I don’t really how it actually works.

I know the colour of black and white comforters but what are they? Are they some sort of soothing massage items or kid’s toys. No! Wrong again! They are only blooming bed sets. Who would have guessed it? Not me it seems.

What could possibly count as fly fishing supplies? Flies and a rod I guess. I can’t see what else you could possibly need. Ah, so you need boxes, reels and all sorts of other things? Now I think about it my did had a little metal fish which he had found somewhere and which he said was used for fishing. What do you call those things?

Ok, s0 out of 3 so far. Let’s take a look at tip top bindery then. When I was a kid we used to love a kind of creamy liquid which was called tip top and came in a tin, but I think I am on the wrong track with this, although the name brings back some nice memories of lovely desserts. Bindery makes me thing of binding books so it is a firm which binds books and just happen to be called tip top? I don’t have time to check out the answer right now as I am heading out to try and find some strawberries and cream to kill the craving I just got.
