The Road is Long

My wife has just started taking driving lessons and I have just realised how dangerous the open road is.

It is a while since I learned how to drive so it has been tough for me to pass on advice to her. Perhaps the best solution is to find a few things which could help out.

Could beaded curtains be the answer? Why yes, I think they could. You see, the young lady has a habit of getting uptight when she drives, which is only natural. What better way to relax than by turning our vehicle into a 60s hippie van with beaded curtains between the front seat and the back ones? We’ll need to look out those old flares and Cream albums but it will be worth it.

Mattress reviews anyone? The only thing better than a hippie van would have to be, well, a hippie van with a mattress.  I am not talking ab0ut free  love here although a bit of that never does any harm. No, I am talking about a good, old fashioned lie down for a rest. It’s tiring work teaching someone to drive and 40 winks would be nice now and then.

I would quite like some seat belts which keep me safe and protect me from the cold as well. Wouldn’t it be great have a quilted, wrap around seat belt with detachable hood for those chilly mornings?

If there is one other thing I need to look for it is a list of able nannies. Our little girl stops us from going out to drive as much as we would like to. We try and shuffle her onto my mother in law as much as we can but there are only so many liberties we can take with her. Maybe I could give up the mattress for a while and let her lie on it which we drive. Just for a few minutes though.
