Isn’t today a great day in the history of mankind? I don’t know about you but I fell out of bed refreshed and ready to take on the world. This is going to be a perfect day even if I have to…. 2012 is going to be the best year in the history of the world ever. How do I know this? Because I just do ok – don’t put me on a downer by questioning me. I feel so motivated that I am thinking about getting hold of an outdoor fire pit. Hold on, these are for making sacrificial offerings to appease the fire gods and ensure a great year, aren’t they? I am sorry. I don’t like to apologise so early on but I am feeling a bit grumpy today. Christmas is almost upon us and I haven’t bought any presents yet. I also have a funny feeling that the gifts I finally buy are going to end up being hopelessly inappropriate. Like these little beauties. Can you imagine a worse Christmas present that basement dehumidifiers? Don’t get me wrong, these appliances do a great job.

Getting older affects us all in some strange ways. Personally I think it has lent me a rather dapper appearance and a great wealth of wisdom with each passing year. In my wife’s case she likes to buy plants. I don’t mean a little palm tree every few months. I mean 10 flipping great big bushes every weekend. She’s gone mad for the vegetation, freaked out with the foliage and quite possibly lost her marbles.
