Home Worker Needs Help With Housework

There is only one problem with working from home. Well, apart from my skin going an unhealthy yellow colour and my new found habit of wearing pyjamas all days. No, the real problem is that everyone expects you to do the housework every day.

Because you are in the house “doing little all day except type nonsense” you are expected to keep the place tidy and free of potentially deadly bacteria. Fine. Let’s find some gadgets to help me then.

Dyson reviews. Oh, I know what these are. I once even used one. Actually, I’ve just realised that I don’t have any carpets or rugs in my house. It is all bare, tiled surfaces. Can I use one of these things on those things (excuse my slip into technical language)?

Refrigerator reviews. Here we have an extremely useful household appliance which I apparently need to clean sometimes. Maybe I spill the odd yogurt or drip the odd ice cream inside it but aren’t they all self cleaning anyway? Maybe if I check the reviews I will find out. And I certainly don’t accept any of the responsibility for that crinkled up broccoli/carrot/unidentified vegetable in the corner. The very thought.

Dyson air multiplier. I don’t even know what this thing does but doesn’t it have a great name? I often worry about the lack of air in my house so maybe this could be the solution to getting me some more. Actually, if the people at Dyson need more product names invented I could do it. The Dyson Water Minimiser, the Dyson Light Bender and the Dyson Dirt Vaporiser all sound great to me. Maybe they already exist. Who knows?

Garage door opener. I got a bit of a disappointment with this one. I thought it was a person who opened the door whenever you wanted in or out. Turns out its about machines. On this subject (sort of ) when are we going to get those household robots we have been getting promised for decades? And flying cars are a bit overdue as well. It really is time to get into the 21st century and get a few of those inventions which always seem to be just around the corner. One of these vacuum showers would be good too.
